How often do we not walk through a city, rushed and stressed, with the desire, just for a brief moment, to lie down and take a rest? But do we feel safe enough to succumb to our desires? Frequently not. The Lange Voorhout is a relatively peaceful oasis in the centre of the city. There are many benches. Carina Diepens aims to use these benches to create a comfortable place to rest for the public. Resting in the lap of the man with the golden helmet. He will watch over us. The concomitant experience of taking a rest in the middle of the public space while surrendering your safety to another. . Letting go of day-to-day concerns. For a brief moment, emptiness; no direction, no place, no thoughts. Putting your trust in another, awakening to the concept. Do you dare answer the call?
