Are you scared of an attack. Not one, but one hundred victims. How real is the fear that determines it and how does it change your behaviour?



Art Trash Team plays a 'technical investigation unit' which draws chalk lines around people and objects on the streets as we are familiar with in American crime series. With this work, your own contribution is of central importance because it is you who determines what, how, in which position and in which colour you want your outline on the streets. The multitude of outlines creates an alienating colourful street scene. On one hand cheerfully carnavalesque on account of the colours and the roguish performance of the 'investigation team', on the other, a possible reality is suggested which here in the safe Netherlands is met with disbelief. Your own participation in the work encourages you to reflect on the conditions for believing such a reality and thinking up a cause. Is a colourful battlefield confrontational or do you routinely and nonchalantly pass over it?
